iExperts FAQ | iPhone Screen Replacement FAQ

1. Why are your prices so much lower than your competition?

A: We are able to offer a better value service due to our lower overheads and with the high volume of repairs that we perform. iExperts employs several technicians and performs more repairs than any of our competitors. iExperts services not only individuals but major companies with fleets of phones as well as for extended warranty companies. Due to the high volume, we are able to purchase original parts in bulk and pass on the savings directly to our customers.

2. Will this repair void my warranty?

A: All repairs performed by iExperts will not void the Manufacturers Warranty, except for those repairs that require the use of non-genuine parts at the customers request.

3. Do you use original Apple Parts?

A: We use Original Glass/Digitizers, LCD’s, Switches and Dock Connectors. The only non-original parts we use are 3G/3GS back housings as original components for these cannot be sourced.

4. Do you have offices in other areas?

A: We are looking at expanding our 30 minute on the spot services to other states. Our Melbourne branch will be opening in May, 2011. Other capital cities will come shortly after. In the meantime, we offer our 2 business day turnaround service for customers who are unable to come in directly.

5. How can we be sure about the quality of your work?

A: iExperts are so confident in the high quality of our workmanship that we offer a 6 month warranty on all repairs. The iPhone repair industry is filled with ‘cowboy’ inexperienced repairers overcharging for bad quality work. With experience repairing more than 10,000 iPhones per year, iExperts have the expertise and know-how to repair your iPhone back to the same state as it came from the Apple Factory, using the same genuine parts.

6. I have purchased a digitizer elsewhere, can you fit it for me?

A: Many of the so called ‘genuine’ digitizers available on online shopping sites like eBay for around $30 are not actually genuine. We prefer not to fit these screens as they cause issues with the sensors underneath the glass such as brightness issues and incorrect proximity sensing. In some cases, these screens may leave a gap between the frame of the iPhone and the glass,  or may be too large for the frame, increasing the risk of future breakage.
We can assist in the fitting of these screens at your insistence, however, we may decline warranty relating to the aforementioned issues.

7. Australia Post won’t let me send my phone by Express Post! What do I do?

A: Australia Post has a policy against sending devices with Lithium Ion Batteries by air (Express Post). The iPhone does not have this type of battery. It has a Lithium Polymer battery. You can get around this by simply purchasing the bags over the counter and placing your package directly into an Express Post Bin.

8. What is the difference between the Postage Methods?

A: We prefer Express Post Platinum because of the peace of mind it offers our customers.  Some customers may feel anxious about sending their iPhones in the mail, but any concerns can be put at rest with the tracking system and signature receipt provided with Express Post Platinum. With the 4000+ interstate customers we have serviced so far, we have not lost a single iPhone.
Please do not send your iPhone in the paper Express Post envelopes as the paper envelopes are intended for documents and rip quite easily.
